The retreat, held from 22 – 24 January 2024, brought together the Trustees, Executive members, and staff of MMGB for a profound period of reflection, team building, and strategic planning. Located amidst the serene beauty of Small Ngella Island, the retreat provided an ideal setting for the participants to immerse themselves in discussions and activities aimed at strengthening the organization’s mission and vision.

The primary focus of the retreat was to reflect on MMGB’s vision and objectives, foster team bonding, and chart a course for the organization’s activities in 2024. Key discussions revolved around lessons learned from previous projects, emphasizing the importance of not only meeting donor expectations but also ensuring genuine impact on the ground. Additionally, there were insightful deliberations on the political stance of MMGB, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to remain apolitical while advocating for environmental conservation and cultural preservation.
